About Kevin S. Toll

 

Kevin S. Toll is the owner of The Toll Law Firm, PLC. His practice focuses on providing strategic advice to, and representing, clients in complex commercial litigation including contract, business tort, intellectual property, and real estate law. He has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts and has obtained favorable results in the Michigan Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Before joining the Firm, Mr. Toll was an associate at a large metro Detroit law firm where he specialized in assisting clients with a wide variety of complex commercial disputes, including matters involving fiduciary duties, shareholder rights, partnerships, contracts, employment, real estate (including title, ownership, and priority disputes), property tax appeals, intellectual property rights, unfair competition, insurance coverage (with a specific focus on life, health, and disability insurance), and corporate dissolution.

In 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, Super Lawyers® selected Mr. Toll for inclusion in the Michigan Super Lawyers – Rising Stars® lists for his work in business litigation. This prestigious honor uses rigorous peer nominations and third party research to identify top lawyers under the age of 40 or who have been in practice for less than 10 years. ADMISSIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS
Mr. Toll is admitted to practice before all Michigan state courts the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Toll is also an active member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Federal Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association.

EDUCATION
Mr. Toll earned his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2006). While in law school, Mr. Toll served as a contributing member of the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and named to the Frank Murphy Honor Society. He received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University (B.A., 2003).
